Due to the intensive nature of the course, prospective student teachers need to be motivated and have a strong drive to continue their career in the ESL industry as a teacher. Professional awareness and development are an ongoing theme throughout the course. Successful trainees must demonstrate an awareness of the needs of other colleagues in their team, both teaching and non-teaching.
The value of mutual support in the teaching, learning and training environment is something which is not overlooked. Student teachers must also demonstrate an awareness of the need for professional development during and after the course, based on a constructive response to training input and feedback from tutors and peers.
Successful candidates must produce a valid background check before attending the course. The college will provide the successful applicant with the paperwork required to apply for a student visa to study in Austria (not required for EU applicants).
